Changes Announced by SRCE

- St. Mary’s Education Centre/Academy implemented an early dismissal at 9:45 a.m. after a local power failure.
Impact on Individual Schools
The CSAP-operated Beau-Port School remained closed for the day due to a continuing power outage in the area.
At NDA School, morning bus service was cancelled, but classes stayed open for students who could arrange other transportation. School administrators indicated they would update families later to confirm if afternoon transport would proceed.
Other Institutions Affected
The NSCC Strait Area Campus cancelled all classes because of an overnight outage, with crews estimating power restoration by 2:00 p.m.
The Wagmatcook Learning Centre continued its regular schedule despite the weather disruptions.
