Synth-pop icons and Scottish legends to headline at Lincoln Castle

Next summer, Lincoln Castle will host two exceptional live concerts featuring Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) and Deacon Blue. Both acts are set to bring unforgettable performances to the historic venue.

OMD: Summer of Hits Tour

The pioneering synth-pop duo OMD will headline TK Maxx Presents Live at Lincoln Castle on Thursday, 11 June, as part of their Summer of Hits Tour. They will share the stage with post-punk legends Peter Hook & The Light and rising indie talent Andrew Cushin.

With a career spanning over forty years, OMD have sold more than 40 million records worldwide and earned 18 UK Top 40 singles. Their genre-defining tracks such as Enola Gay, Maid of Orleans, Souvenir, and If You Leave helped shape the sound of the 1980s.

After celebrating their 40th anniversary, the band released Bauhaus Staircase in 2023 — their first studio album in six years and their most politically charged work yet. The record received critical acclaim and culminated in their largest-ever UK tour, closing with a landmark show at London’s O2 Arena.

Deacon Blue: The Great Western Road Trip Rolls On

On Friday, 26 June, Scottish legends Deacon Blue will headline Lincoln Castle as part of their The Great Western Road Trip Rolls On tour. The evening will also feature special guests Lightning Seeds.

Famous for hits like The Real Gone Kid and Dignity, Deacon Blue continue to be one of Scotland’s most cherished bands, bringing both energy and nostalgia to audiences across the UK.

Ticket Information

Tickets for both shows go on general sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, 7 November, via lincolncastle.com and ticketmaster.co.uk.

“With timeless hits and formidable live energy, both OMD and Deacon Blue promise two nights of world-class performances under the Lincolnshire sky.”
