The first trailer for Marvel's Avengers: Doomsday is reportedly set to debut this December alongside the release of James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Collider reports, based on multiple sources, that the initial footage of the MCU’s upcoming team-up film will likely be attached to the new Avatar installment. However, this plan could change before Avatar: Fire and Ash premieres in theaters on December 19, 2025.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to open almost exactly one year later, on December 18, 2026.
Filming wrapped in September 2025, but specific plot details remain limited. The film promises to unite the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and original X-Men together on the big screen for the first time.
Many actors from previous Marvel projects—including Brie Larson, Famke Janssen, Elizabeth Olsen, Charlie Cox, Andrew Garfield, Halle Berry, and Chris Evans—have been vague or denied returning to their roles for this film.
Channing Tatum, who reprises Gambit, said the movie will have moments “50 times bigger than when Wesley Snipes' Blade turned up in Deadpool & Wolverine.”
As of this article’s publication, Disney had not responded to IGN’s request for comment regarding the trailer or the film’s details.
This highly anticipated MCU crossover is set to make a major impact, with its trailer likely arriving alongside a major blockbuster and promising unprecedented team-ups and epic moments.
