During the first of several shows in Australia, Oasis faced a disturbing incident at their sold-out October 31st concert in Melbourne's Marvel Stadium. A flare was launched into the crowd as the band closed the night with "Champagne Supernova."
Concertgoer Brad Bultman described the flare as initially mistaken for a pyrotechnic effect. However, it soon became clear that it was a live flare thrown into the audience, creating fire and smoke in different areas of the stadium.
“Then very quickly I saw it explode and expand a bit further, and then somebody actually pick up the live flair and toss it back in the air and created more fire and smoke in a different area,” Bultman said. “I was like, ‘Oh geez’ — you hope nobody gets hurt.”
Initially, Gallagher addressed the crowd during the show, simply saying, “naughty, naughty, naughty.” After the concert, he took to X/Twitter to express his anger more explicitly towards the person responsible.
“To the massive CUNT who launched that flare into the crowd last night at the gig in Melbourne you are 1 seriously fucked up individual and you will get yours trust me,” wrote Gallagher.
The flare incident during Oasis' Melbourne concert sparked concern among attendees and outrage from Liam Gallagher, who condemned the reckless individual responsible in no uncertain terms.
