Thousands of players were unable to log into EA Sports FC 26 early on Friday morning due to server downtime. The developers have now clarified the cause of the outage.
Just hours ahead of the launch of a highly awaited new promo, UEFA Primetime, EA Sports FC 26 servers went completely offline. This interruption affected multiple online modes including Ultimate Team and Pro Clubs.
According to Down Detector, reports of connection problems began around 6:17 AM GMT on Friday, November 7, and increased sharply after 9:00 AM GMT UK time.
“EA servers are down today on FC26! That ruins the stream for this morning so going to do it in the afternoon instead!”
“I was just playing a Division 1 game and it's gone down on me. Frustrating.”
The issue is not caused by technical problems or glitches. Instead, EA Sports took the servers offline to perform important maintenance tasks. This planned downtime affects EA Sports FC 26 along with EA Sports FC 25 and EA Sports FC 24 on all platforms.
A statement from EA Sports FC Direct Communication on X said:
"We have a maintenance coming up. During this time, you will be disconnected or unable to access online services. Match creation will be disabled 30 minutes before maintenance. Titles impacted: EA Sports FC 26, EA Sports FC 25 and EA Sports FC 24 on all platforms."
The temporary server downtime in EA FC 26 is a scheduled maintenance to improve service, causing temporary disconnections on multiple EA Sports FC titles.
