Drugs mule Lindsay Sandiford could walk straight BACK into jail

Drugs Mule Lindsay Sandiford Faces Immediate Prison on Return

Yesterday, 69-year-old grandmother Lindsay Sandiford was seen in a wheelchair leaving Kerobokan Prison, where she was jailed for smuggling £1.6 million worth of cocaine. Indonesian officials have indicated that she could be sent straight back to prison upon her return to Britain after spending 12 years on death row in Bali for drug offenses.

The deputy minister for immigration and correctional coordination in Indonesia told the Mirror about her future in the UK:

"In England, she will remain in prison."
The British Foreign Office has not yet confirmed or denied this statement.

Sandiford exited her cell shortly after 2pm GMT alongside another British inmate, 35-year-old Shahab Shahabadi, who is serving a life sentence for drug offenses. Both were briefly shown to local media before being transferred to British diplomats at Denpasar International Airport for their flight back to the UK.

This marks the end of a long ordeal, but her legal challenges seem set to continue upon returning to Britain.

Summary: Lindsay Sandiford, after 12 years on death row in Bali for drug smuggling, faces immediate imprisonment upon her return to the UK, highlighting the ongoing consequences of her conviction.
