Gibson has introduced the Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere Collection, showcasing guitars featured in the new Bruce Springsteen biopic. The collection includes a variety of Gibson and Epiphone acoustic guitars, many handcrafted at the Gibson acoustic craftory in Bozeman, Montana.
These instruments were used during filming and the original soundtrack recording to accurately recreate the sounds and setups of the early 1980s. Lead actor Jeremy Allen White, portraying Springsteen, plays many of these guitars in the film.
Springsteen himself famously played a late-1950s Gibson SJ-200 on Nebraska, the 1982 album central to the film's story.
“The new Gibson Custom 1957 SJ-200 offers details such as hand-selected maple for the back and sides, a headstock stinger, and a thermally aged top.”
This collection preserves the legacy of Springsteen’s iconic sound by faithfully recreating the instruments that defined his early career.
Author's summary: Gibson’s curated collection celebrates Bruce Springsteen’s legacy by featuring precise recreations of the acoustic guitars central to his 1980s sound and the biopic’s storytelling.
