German Vlogger Advises Tourists To Visit 'Easygoing' Kerala Over 'Chaotic' North

German Vlogger Recommends Visiting Kerala Over Northern India

German travel vlogger Alex Welder shared his perspective on Indian tourism, urging foreign visitors to explore Kerala for a calmer and more relaxing experience compared to the busier northern cities.

Tourism Stereotypes and Lack of Awareness

Welder noted that people abroad often know little about Kerala, mainly because of stereotypes shaped by the northern part of India, which is frequently portrayed as chaotic and overcrowded.

"Okay, I'm in Munnar in Kerala right now and I think India needs a serious rebranding for their tourism."

Admiration for Munnar’s Landscapes

While filming in Kerala’s hill town of Munnar, Welder praised its tea plantations, highlighting that they surpass those he had seen in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, or other Asian destinations. He expressed surprise at the low number of Western tourists visiting the region.

"The tea plantations here beat any other that I have visited in Sri Lanka, Malaysia or any other Asian country."

Kerala as a Relaxed Travel Destination

Welder emphasized that Western stereotypes about India often feature crowded northern cities and roadside cattle, overlooking the serene charm of southern regions like Kerala. He concluded that travelers seeking a more peaceful and easygoing Indian experience should visit Kerala.

"If you are searching for a less chaotic, more easygoing way to visit India, then I really think Kerala is the way to go."
