Reddit and Kick Added to Australia’s Social Media Ban
Australia will expand its social media restrictions from December 10 to include popular platforms Reddit and Kick, alongside Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The new law will prohibit users under 16 from accessing these sites, with penalties reaching up to Aus$49.5 million (US$32 million) for non-compliance.

“Online platforms use technology to target children with chilling control,” said Minister for Communications Anika Wells. “We are merely asking they use that same technology to keep children safe online.”
