The Communist Party of India (Marxist) announced its Bihar Assembly election manifesto, emphasizing employment creation, social justice, and anti-corruption measures.
Brinda Karat criticized the NDA for conducting a negative campaign, stating,
“The NDA has been running a negative campaign, pointing fingers at the opposition — perhaps inevitable since they have nothing to showcase as achievements in the two decades they have ruled Bihar.”She added that this reflects the prevalence of mafia and jungle raj under NDA rule and assured that the INDIA alliance will bring law and order to Bihar.
Brinda Karat condemned BJP leaders' statements, expressing shock over Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s comment calling Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi “an agent of Pakistan.”
“It is appalling that BJP leaders are saying whatever they wish without reflection. Such remarks about someone whose family has long served the public are unacceptable,”she stated.
