An Independent Milestone
This release represents a high point in Williams’ creative independence. Originally, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party debuted in mid-2025 as 17 standalone singles dropped without advance notice. Fans enthusiastically responded by sequencing their own versions and even creating a dedicated website to swap tracklists, reflecting Williams’ intent to let listeners shape the album’s story.
“I wanted the audience to experience the music freely — to build their own relationships with the songs,” Williams shared during an early interview about the project.

Weeks after the original release, the songs were compiled into an 18-track digital album featuring “Parachute,” which has since gathered over 130 million streams. The completion of the 20-track physical edition marks not only the final form of the record but also the closing chapter of Williams’ long history with her former label.
