During a recent episode of the quiz show “Jeopardy!”, viewers spotted a factual mistake in one of the clues and voiced their concerns online. The wave of criticism prompted host Ken Jennings to issue an apology.
The disputed category was titled “Daddy, Is There Really A…”. The $800 clue read: “No: A.I. generated the TikTok image of this pig/human eventually killed by Tim Cheese.” None of the contestants attempted to answer.
Jennings joked afterward:
“I didn’t understand any of that.”
He then revealed the correct response as:
“Who is John Pork?”
“John Pork predates AI, this is wrong.”
“John Pork is a photoshopped being — how dare you call him AI.”
“Many of us are still grieving John.”
“John Pork first posted on Insta in 2018, not AI generated.”
“John Pork isn’t AI; his official Instagram account has existed since 2017.”
Some followers were also surprised to learn about John Pork’s supposed death through the show’s clue.
Ken Jennings faced fan backlash after “Jeopardy!” misidentified online character John Pork as AI-generated, leading the host to apologize for the incorrect clue.
