Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV), the Chinese electric vehicle maker, announced it will release three robotaxi models in 2026 and begin trial operations for the service. This marks a significant move into the robotaxi sector.
These robotaxis will be equipped with four of Xpeng's proprietary Turing AI chips, delivering a computing power of up to 3,000 TOPS.
The company's chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng stated the vehicles will “feature four of Xpeng's in-house developed Turing AI chips, delivering computing power of up to 3,000 TOPS.”
Xpeng will make its robotaxi SDK (Software Development Kit) available to global partners, aiming to build a collaborative robotaxi ecosystem.
