The Hong Kong Sixes 2025 begins on November 7, featuring 12 competing teams in the latest edition of this six-a-side international cricket tournament.
The Hong Kong Sixes originated in the 1990s as a fast-paced cricket event created to bring international action to Hong Kong, then an ICC Associate Member. It became an annual spectacle, with national cricket boards allowing their players to participate freely.
The event was held regularly from 1993 to 1997, revived from 2001 to 2012, briefly returned in 2017, and was relaunched in 2024.
All matches of the 2025 tournament will take place at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Hong Kong. The competition format features a group stage followed by knockout rounds.
Dinesh Karthik will captain India for the tournament. Ravichandran Ashwin, however, has been ruled out due to injury.
