The Mavericks scored 19 consecutive points early and held Washington scoreless for over five minutes in the first quarter, building a 28-16 lead.
The Wizards rallied, with Alex Sarr’s putback giving them a 72-71 lead midway through the third quarter—their first lead since early in the game. Washington led 86-82 after three quarters.
Washington’s Naji Marshall scored 15 points and made two free throws to put Dallas ahead 102-101 with 4:36 remaining.

Washington extended its losing streak to eight games and now stands at 1-9. Their sole victory this season came on October 24 with a 117-107 win over Dallas.
