Throughout Dave Doeren’s 13-year tenure at NC State, the program’s success has hovered around a consistent but limited range. Since taking over in 2013, NC State has achieved between seven and nine wins nearly every season from 2014 to 2023, never exceeding nine victories. “I'm having a blast. I have four years left on my contract, I fully expect to coach in. So unless they kick me out of here, I'm going to keep coming to work and doing everything I can to help NC State. There's meat on the bone for me, personally.”
