Jetstar Restarts Adelaide to Melbourne Avalon Route with $29 Flights

Jetstar is expanding its Adelaide network by resuming flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport, offering promotional fares starting at just $29. The airline will restart this route on 26 March 2026, providing South Australian travellers with an affordable and convenient gateway to Victoria.

Service Details and Capacity

The low-cost carrier will operate up to seven weekly return flights, adding roughly 109,000 new low-fare seats annually. This route reconnects South Australia with popular destinations such as Victoria's Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, and Geelong. The service, last available before the pandemic, will use Jetstar’s Airbus A320 aircraft.

Promotional Offer

To celebrate the relaunch, Jetstar is offering one-way fares from $29. The sale began at 11:30am (ACDT) today and reflects prices similar to those offered over 20 years ago. These limited-time fares are expected to sell out quickly.

“These new flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport provide South Australians with greater opportunities to take advantage of our low fares and are part of a significant increase in flights in and out of Adelaide this year,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully.
“It’s now easier and more affordable than ever to access Victoria’s popular Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula wine region, Geelong and Melbourne.”

Author’s summary: Jetstar’s reintroduction of flights between Adelaide and Melbourne Avalon, supported by $29 promotional fares, offers South Australians fresh, affordable access to key Victorian destinations starting March 2026.
