PlayStation held a 40-minute State of Play showcase focused on upcoming PS5 games developed in Japan and other Asian studios. The event was hosted by Yuki Kaji, known for voicing in Ys, and streamed only in Japanese with English subtitles available.
The presentation began with a story-driven trailer for Dragon Quest VII Remastered, a full reimagining of the classic title. Interestingly, the trailer was in English despite expectations of Japanese audio. The game is set to release on February 5.
This management simulation lets players run a corner store, manage inventory, interact with customers, and collect items from vending machines. It will launch in April 2026.
The next installment in the coffee shop social simulator series, Coffee Talk Tokyo, invites players to serve coffee to customers in a cyberpunk Tokyo setting. It is scheduled for release on March 5.
Two new games are coming soon as part of the BrokenLore horror series, extending the franchise's eerie storytelling.
