The festive season is officially underway as John Lewis has unveiled its first TV advert of the year.
Entitled "The Long Wait", the advert tells the story of a young boy who is eagerly waiting for Christmas morning.
Directed by Oscar-winning director Johnny Hardstaff, the advert features Oscar Isaac as the voice of Santa Claus.
John Lewis's head of customer and marketing, Craig Inglis, said: "The Long Wait is a heartwarming and moving film that brings to life the excitement and magic of Christmas."
The advert is accompanied by a new music release, "The Long Wait", which is available to download now.
The advert is part of a wider campaign from John Lewis, which includes a new website and social media channels.
