The New Jersey Devils' playoff hopes took a hit on Wednesday night, as the New York Rangers came from behind to win 102-99 at Madison Square Garden.
Aaron Jackson's three-pointer with 1:15 remaining gave the Rangers a 100-97 lead, and they went on to win the game.
"We've been in tough situations all year, and we've come out on top," said Jackson, who finished with a season-high 29 points. "Tonight was no exception."
The Devils had taken a 95-91 lead with 2:45 remaining, but the Rangers responded with an 8-2 run to take the lead for good.
The win marked the Rangers' fourth straight victory over the Devils this season.

With the win, the Rangers improved to 40-32 on the season, while the Devils fell to 38-34.
