A 21-year-old Blackfoot woman, Kaylanee Orr, died from an accidental gunshot wound during a hunting trip with her relatives in Fremont County.
According to Fremont County Coroner Brenda Dye, Orr's death was a result of the accidental discharge of a relative's gun, which struck her in the chest.
“They were in a very isolated area that they’ve hunted before,” says Amanda Graff, Orr’s aunt. “(The relative) tried to save her life for over an hour doing chest compressions until people got there to help, (but) she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Orr's aunt described the incident, highlighting the remote location of the hunting trip and the efforts made to save her life.
