The Highmark Stadium, home of the Buffalo Bills for 52 years, was honored at the RIT Big Shot Project on Saturday evening.
Approximately 10,000 people gathered at the stadium to participate in the event, which aimed to commemorate the stadium before the Buffalo Bills move to a new location next year.
"It's about what the Bills actually mean for Western New York. So that's why we had to commemorate Highmark Stadium in a different way that you normally see. And that's where, when it's lit up and it's painted with light, it's going to invoke all those memories of your childhood when you brought your kids here to the stadium, your grandkids."
Eric Kunsman, Assistant Professor at RIT and Big Shot leader, and Emerson Pearlberg, a Photographic Science Major at RIT, were among those involved in the project.
