Former Vice President Kamala Harris was asked about labeling Israel's actions in Gaza as "genocide" during an interview on MSNBC's "The Weekend."
"A lot of folks in your party have called what's happening in Gaza a genocide. Do you agree with that?"
Harris responded by stating that the term "genocide" is a legal term that should be decided by a court.
"Listen, it is a term of law that a court will decide,"
However, she emphasized the need to examine the situation closely, citing the number of children and innocent civilians killed, and the refusal to provide aid and support.
"we should all step back and ask this question and be honest about it, yeah."
Several lawmakers, including Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, have also weighed in on the issue.
