The struggle to expose rape and abuse by guards in Idaho's prison system is a pressing issue.
Case of Ricardo Quiroz
In January 2018, a woman, referred to as Lynn, was taken to a medical clinic by guard Ricardo Quiroz, known as "Corporal Q", to remove abnormal cervical tissue.
After the procedure, Quiroz allegedly told Lynn to go to the back of the van and take off her pants, while she was still in pain and bleeding.
Lynn recounts the incident, highlighting the predatory conduct of Quiroz.
