As of October 14, 2025, Windows 10 has reached its End of Life, but users can extend its lifespan through the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program for a fee of $30.
To enroll in the ESU program, users can click "Enroll now" on the Windows Update page and link their Microsoft account, with additional requirements for users outside the EU, such as syncing Settings to OneDrive.
Alternatively, users in the US can use 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points to sign up for the ESU program.
For those who prefer not to use a Microsoft account or do not have Rewards points, a $30 ESU subscription is now available.
Microsoft told Windows Latest that users in the EU only require a Microsoft account for free Windows 10 ESU.
Author's summary: Windows 10 ESU available for $30.
