SMU Honors 2025 Distinguished Alumni, Emerging Leader
The event, hosted by SMU president Jay Hartzell and the SMU Alumni Board, recognizes leaders for their extraordinary achievements, outstanding character and good citizenship each year during Homecoming Week.
SMU will honor five outstanding leaders at 7 p.m. on the 30th at SMU’s Distinguished Alumni Award presentation and dinner. It is the highest honor the University can bestow upon its graduates.
- Rev. Rasmussen ’04, senior minister at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas
- Suzanne S. Youngkin ’89, first lady of the commonwealth of Virginia
- David S. Huntley ’80, retired senior executive vice president and chief compliance officer for AT&T Inc.
- Trevor D. Rees-Jones ’78, founder and CEO of Chief Oil & Gas, LLC and Rees-Jones Holdings, LLC
