A shootout between people in two different vehicles led to the closure of State Street in Sandy.
According to Sgt. Aymee Race with the Unified Police Department, the incident occurred on Tuesday night, prompting law enforcement to shut down portions of State Street between Princeton and 9000 S.
Both vehicles involved in the shooting took off and were no longer at the scene. Investigators collected casings and believe around six rounds were fired.
The police are currently searching for a four-door, dark-colored sedan in connection with the incident.
