Rakiraki Defends IDC Senior Division Title
Rakiraki staged a brilliant comeback to thrash Lami 6-2 and successfully defend their Senior Division title at the FMF Inter-District Championship.
The match, held at 4R Stadium, Govind Park, saw Rakiraki's Puneet Kumar open the scoring in the 28th minute, but Lami's Rohit Chand equalised before Sahil Naresh put Lami ahead 2-1 at halftime.
In the second half, a much improved Rakiraki side saw star player Sanjay Dutt score the equaliser, with the score remaining level at 2-all until the final whistle.
In extra time, Jone Loga struck first, but it was Waitsoni Seru's sensational hat-trick that delivered the trophy to Rakiraki.
