The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has issued a statement regarding the "Gayun case", a wave of repressions by Lukashenko's regime against Belarusian citizens.
The statement highlights that in Belarus, "literally anything can become the basis for repressions, even a carelessly spoken Belarusian word".
Lukashenko's Belarus became an accomplice in the unleashing of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, for which "it must necessarily bear its share of responsibility for the commission of this crime and all subsequent atrocities against the Ukrainian people."
The Ministry's statement is in response to information from the Belarusian Human Rights Center "Viasna" about the ongoing repressions.
