Political Categorization
For this analysis, people were grouped into two categories: supporters of the governing party (or parties) and those who do not.
These categories were determined by the party in power at the time of the survey and respondents' answers to a question about their political party affiliation.
- In countries with coalition governments, supporters of any party in the coalition were grouped together.
