Unbreakable X-Men #1 Review
Unbreakable X-Men features rich emotional storytelling, but fails to utilize the freedom of an alternate universe story like "The Age of Revelation" to its full potential.
The X-Men's latest event story, "The Age of Revelation", has begun, transporting readers ten years into the future. In this future, Revelation, formerly Doug Ramsey, has taken control of a significant portion of the United States, while a virus devastates the human race. The X-Men are the last remaining superheroes, striving to liberate the Revelation territories while safeguarding the rest of the world.
Unbreakable X-Men #1 focuses on the Uncanny X-Men team in this dark future, presenting a narrative with an intriguing build, but ultimately failing to come together. As
Simone doesn’t really use the idea of “The Age of Revelation” to its utmost, this issue falls short.
