Peruvian Gymnast Wins Gold at South American Championship
A young Latter-day Saint from Peru, Antonella Belén Rocha Muñoz, won the gold medal at the South American Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship in Bolivia in September 2025.
Rocha had been working towards this moment since she was 6 years old and had a thousand thoughts running through her head as she stepped onto the gymnastics mat.

She trusted in God and decided to enjoy the moment, which led to her winning the gold medal for Peru in the senior duo category.
On the podium, singing Peru's national anthem, Rocha felt deep pride, relief, and appreciation for God.
