Director Scott Cooper discusses his experience working with Bruce Springsteen and Jeremy Allen White on the new biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere.
Cooper recalls that Springsteen visited the set just four days into shooting, and notes that making a film about a cultural icon like Springsteen comes with a certain level of pressure.
“Look, any time you’re making a film about a cultural icon and someone who’s as legendary as Bruce, there’s always trepidation, right?”
However, Cooper adds that Springsteen was never directive, and mentions that the Boss was emotionally moved by the film, coming out of the movie with tears in his eyes.
