Two months ago, Sam Altman stated that OpenAI hadn't introduced sexbot avatars in ChatGPT. However, the company has now announced plans to allow "mature apps" and support for 18+ experiences once age verification and controls are established.
“Support for mature (18+) experiences will arrive once appropriate age verification and controls are in place,”
Altman confirmed this change, tweeting about allowing more content, including erotica, for verified adults. This marks a significant shift in the company's approach, driven by the need for profitability as AI companies face substantial financial losses.
