Philip Fenech Responds to Swieqi Deputy Mayor's Warning
Paceville Town Centre Management chairman Philip Fenech has dismissed Swieqi Deputy Mayor Jordan Galea's warnings about the state of the entertainment district.
Paceville is a "disaster". There are drugs there, and many Maltese youths now hang out at Sliema these days because Paceville is such a disaster.
Fenech said the deputy mayor was exaggerating and had "no idea" what Paceville is really like. He noted that around 15,000 people visit Paceville every day, and while incidents may occur, they are not as frequent as suggested.
"It's a marketing mix, and tourists of all ages visit at all times of day," he said.
