Trucks for Change Respond to Food Insecurity Crisis
Despite facing struggles in a persistent freight market downturn, Trucks for Change (T4C) partner fleets remained busy doing good for others over the past year.
T4C partner fleets, supporters, and assisted charities gathered for an annual luncheon in Toronto on October 15.
Elliott Penner, former French’s president and founder of The For Good Foundation, presented an inspiring speech.
The For Good Foundation collects surplus crops from Canadian farmers, packages them using excess capacity from food suppliers, and sells them at cost to food banks across Canada at a discount.
Penner learned about Trucks for Change while developing the concept for his foundation.
