2025 Great Alaska ShakeOut Reminds the State to Drop, Cover and Hold On

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - The event is an annual occurrence where citizens across the state are encouraged to practice protecting themselves from an earthquake.
With Alaska experiencing 50-100 earthquakes every day, it is crucial to practice earthquake safety. Denali Montessori Elementary School participated in the Great Alaska Shakeout, where children quickly found their places, covering their heads and necks, and sheltering under their desks as they should in a real earthquake.
