A 48-year-old Columbia woman, Talesha Louise Woods, was arrested on Thursday for possession of methamphetamine.
On October 16, at 1 a.m., a Columbia police officer responded to a report of possible drug use at a Super 8 Motel. Upon arrival, another officer had already made contact with Woods, who had a felony warrant.
After being read her Miranda rights, Woods admitted to having "dope" in her backpack. A search of her backpack revealed a scale and two bags of meth, weighing 20 grams.
