A 45-year-old man, David Gray, has been banned from driving after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol.

Gray, who resides in a rural property near Banff, appeared at Banff Sheriff Court and admitted to driving with 46 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the limit of 22mcg in 100ml.

The fiscal deputy, Kirsty Martin, presented the case, highlighting the strong smell of alcohol from Gray.
