The Kosciusko County Historical Society’s 60th annual banquet highlighted the significance of history through women’s athletics.
Pictures of women’s teams from the county were displayed, including the Atwood High School girls basketball team from 1928 and the Warsaw High School State Championship winners of 1978.
Rita Price, a member of the Indiana Broadcasters Hall of Fame and the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, spoke about her history with Indiana basketball, including her experiences in Kosciusko County.
Price recalled her early days in broadcasting when she was asked to handle interviews, statistics, and game coverage to expand the radio station's sports coverage.
Price, with 10 years of on-air experience, shared her insights and stories about women's athletics in the county.
