The number of unaccounted individuals at a fatal explosion in Hickman County has decreased from 18 to 16, after two people believed to be on site were found safe.
According to the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency,
more than 300 people have been through the property, but no survivors have been found at this time, confirmed Sheriff Chris Davis of the Humphreys County Sheriff's Office.
The State Emergency Operations Center in Nashville is activated at Level 4 – Elevated to coordinate assistance and resources for local authorities. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation, with multiple agencies, including the ATF, on the scene.
Controlled detonations will occur to safely dispose of hazardous materials, and residents may hear or feel these detonations. A controlled detonation is set for 5 p.m.
