Cadillac moves to quell F1 rivals’ fears over Ferrari car loan plan

Cadillac Addresses F1 Rivals' Concerns

Cadillac's team principal, Graeme Lowdon, has moved to dispel concerns about the team gaining an unfair edge by testing its crews in live conditions with the help of a partner outfit, such as Ferrari.

As Cadillac prepares for its Formula 1 debut in 2026, the team has been utilizing simulators to run full race-weekend rehearsals. The team's roster includes Simon Pagenaud, Charlie Eastwood, Pietro Fittipaldi, Colton Herta, and Sergio Perez.

Although the team has made progress with simulators, physical hardware is still lacking. Cadillac is building its 2026 car from scratch under next year's regulations and is currently unable to test it on track.

Cadillac has already leaned hard on simulators, running full race-weekend rehearsals from mission-control rooms in Silverstone and Charlotte.
