Strava has dropped the patent infringement lawsuit it filed against Garmin 20 days ago.
A "notice of voluntary dismissal without prejudice" was filed with the U.S. District Court in Colorado on Tuesday.
The suit claimed that Garmin was violating terms of a 2015 patent licensing agreement that allowed Garmin to use Strava Live Segments on its devices and software.
Strava’s Chief Product Officer Matt Salazar pointed to a different dispute with Garmin, not contained in the suit, stemming from new developer guidelines issued July 1.
Salazar noted that the new guidelines required the Garmin logo to be present on every activity post, screen, graph, image, and sharing card.
