The question of what it means to be healed as a male, after being wounded since childhood, is a confounding one. This is especially true in a world that tells men to "suck it up, be tough, not complain, and not cry, ever".

Bruce Springsteen, one of America's most self-reflective and prolific singers, has been grappling with this question for six decades.
