The federal shutdown has reached a significant milestone, with government employees missing their first full paycheck.
Many staff members, including interns and part-time personnel in D.C., are not working or being paid. Additionally, numerous federal offices across the country have closed, leaving over 700,000 federal employees without pay, according to the Bipartisan Policy Center.
