Robert McCain, a 64-year-old parolee convicted of a 1980 murder in Rockland County, has been released from a Westchester jail after serving four months for groping a woman.
McCain was accused of forcible touching in July after a woman claimed he groped her at a dog park in Cortlandt. He pleaded guilty to the Class A misdemeanor in early October.
Although he was initially kept behind bars due to parole violations, McCain was released on November 22 and has resumed his status as a parolee, according to the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
A state parolee database check confirmed his release on supervision. McCain was initially released on parole in 2021.
