Bluewater Big Band Performs James Bond Movie Themes
Sarnia's Bluewater Big Band is set to perform James Bond movie themes in November at the Imperial Theatre.
After 25 years of performing, the band, led by Tim Hummel, is trying something new with its upcoming concerts on November 1 and 2.
The idea for a Bond-themed program came about when a singer performed a Bond theme song at last year's concert, and Imperial manager Brian Austin Jr. suggested a full Bond program for the next one.
"Mostly because the music is not readily available or even written for big bands, so it's kind of out of our frame,"
said Hummel, who had to search extensively for the music.
