Woman Damages Truck in Sault's Downtown

Ashley Biron pleaded guilty to several charges after causing damage to a truck at a downtown intersection last summer.

According to assistant Crown attorney Adrianna Mucciarelli, Biron was holding knives at Albert Street East and Bruce Street, threatening to kill someone on August 24, 2024.

Ontario Court Justice Andrew Buttazzoni suggested that Biron may have been having a "mental health episode" when she threw an item at the truck.

She ran from police and said "I'm going to kill somebody,"

Biron held handlebars over her head and has 33 days of pre-sentence custody, with one-and-a-half days credit for each day of incarceration.
