Viral Stewart’s Shops song puts local artists in the spotlight
A group of artists from Upstate New York have taken their love for the popular convenience store chain to a new level by writing and filming a music video that’s quickly gone viral online.
The song, titled “Take Me Down to Stewy’s,” is a parody of the 2010 hit “Teach Me How to Dougie.” It’s a fun and lighthearted ode to everything Stewart’s has to offer — from gas pumps to ice cream cones.
Local rappers Jackson Simpson and Greyson Mullins, who performs under the name Grey Mizzy, are among the masterminds behind the tune.
The duo says the project was all about celebrating their roots and highlighting something that everyone in Upstate New York can relate to.
