LACMA Tour Series Celebrates LGBTQ+ Artists

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is hosting a docent-led tour series called "Visible and Vibrant" to celebrate LGBTQ+ artists, including Frida Kahlo.

LGBTQ history month is more important than ever in part because we find ourselves being erased from a lot of history, being minimized in our contributions taken out of the official record of things.

Rasheed Newson, One Institute Board Chair, highlights the importance of LGBTQ+ history month, which is celebrated in October. The One Institute organizes the Circa Queer History Festival every year during this month.

The LACMA tour is part of this festival, showcasing the contributions of LGBTQ+ artists to the art world.
